Question 1

How do I create an instructor account?

Accepted Answer

Go to /signup and enter your name, email address, and password. When your account is created, Griptether opens your instructor dashboard at /dashboard.

Question 2

What do I need to publish my instructor page?

Accepted Answer

In your dashboard, add a headline, bio, at least one lesson with a name, duration, and price set by you in USD, plus a U.S. city and state. Save your details, then publish the page. A profile photo is optional. Once published, your page appears in the public instructor directory and has a shareable profile link.

Question 3

Can I save availability before creating or publishing a profile?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can save availability in your dashboard before creating or publishing an instructor page. Set recurring weekly hours and the schedule time zone. You can also make date-specific schedule changes or close a date.

Question 4

When and in which time zone do riders see open times?

Accepted Answer

For a published instructor page with a saved schedule, riders see open times in the schedule time zone for dates within the next 45 days.

Question 5

How can a rider request a lesson?

Accepted Answer

Browse public instructor listings by location, open a published instructor page, choose a listed lesson and an open time, then submit your name and email address and continue to hosted checkout. Riders do not need an account. The reservation is saved unpaid and changes to paid only after Griptether verifies the matching checkout session.

Question 6

What can I see from the saved booking link?

Accepted Answer

After submitting a request, keep its private link and reopen it without an account. The saved confirmation shows the booking and payment status, instructor, lesson and duration, instructor-set USD price, and scheduled date and time in the instructor’s time zone. It also includes an add-to-calendar download and lets you retry checkout while payment is unpaid.

Question 7

How is a lesson price paid?

Accepted Answer

The instructor sets the lesson price in USD, and the public lesson card shows that price. After you choose a lesson and time and submit your name and email, hosted Stripe checkout lets you pay the displayed amount. The reservation stays unpaid until Griptether verifies the checkout session saved for that booking. A failed or cancelled checkout leaves it unpaid; use your private confirmation link to see its status or retry.

Question 8

Will I receive booking or schedule-change email updates?

Accepted Answer

The current flow does not send booking or schedule-change email updates. After submitting a lesson request, keep the private confirmation link and reopen it to check the saved status and details.
